I've used both and haven't had problems. I suggest you read the back of the package though as far as where to use what. Like I use Veet hair cream remover and you can use it on your bikini line but don't try and give yourself a Brazilian with one of those kits. You could do that with the wax strip. I like the wax strips for legs--yes, it takes a long time, but it leaves your legs really smooth for a couple of weeks!
