Antibiotics such us Tetracycline is prescribed by a doctor before using it. Since your friend uses it maybe routinely as a body cream to her baby this can be dangerous. The prolonged use of Tetracycline can have an adverse reactions especially to a baby.
Try to convince your friend not to use that stuff anymore.A friend uses tetracycline mixed with shea butter as body cream for a baby.Has anyone heard of this before?
Why would she expose her baby to an antibiotic when it is not needed? That is crazy. And, she runs the risk of her baby being antibiotic resistant as she gets older because of the early use of antibiotics by her mother. This is a dangerous practice and you should tell her this. I'm sure her pediatrician would not approve.
