Does using lotion/body cream make a person darker or lighter?

I have been using lotion because i think it helps your skin but it seems that am getting darker so i was just wondering if it made you darker or lighter.Does using lotion/body cream make a person darker or lighter?
no well kinda lol it depends if it is tanning lotion or if it is just body lotion if it i tanning lotion it should make u go darker i use tanning lotion and it dosent make me orange it just makes me darker


so remember that if its normal body lotion it will make u LIGHTER

Usually only specific lotions change a persons skin tone. I use coco butter lotion and it kinda helps the tone of my skin, but not too noticeable.
Depends. If you have cocoa butter lotion it will make your skin tone darker.

and jergens natrual glow will make u really dark!
