Would mixing a body cream and oil improve my skin texture?

my skin can get quite dry so i was thinking of mixing a skin cream and oil together would this work for my skin .I want to have that baby skin look you no fresh and all.Would mixing a body cream and oil improve my skin texture?
You might try putting cream on before you shower instead of after. Good luck.
